Strong's Number H8676

Kethiv Reading
H8676 marks a place where the translators of the Authorised Version followed the kethiv reading rather than the qere.
In the Hebrew Bible the scribes did not alter text they believed had been copied incorrectly. They noted in the margin what they thought the written text should be. The written variation is called a kethiv and the marginal note is called the qere.
For example, at Deuteronomy 19:6 “blood” (H1818) is marked with H8676 to show that the qere alternative is “life” (H5315).
